Protect Your Assets!

Step one, what are your assets? An asset is something of value. What do you value? Do you value your personally identifiable information (PII)? What is PII? PII is all data that is sensitive to you. It is something you do not want others to know about you. You would not want anyone to know your social security number (SSN), your driver's license number, financial information, date of birth (DOB), credit card information, passport information, and/or medical information. You may read that your DOB is not sensitive. However, make no mistake that your DOB along with your name and/or financial information and/or SSN, driver's license and/or credit card information can be used by malicious actors for their own use.

What do I mean by this? A malicious actor and/or person could be someone you know or those that you do not know. They use your information to cause damage to you. They may profit from your sensitive information.
